FortiesFest (banner image missing)

Hello everyone.
I am sorely tempted to record a big production number for the Festival, alas such an undertaking is presently out of the question.
Here is a song from Hank Williams, just piano and vocal.
I hope this finds you in good health...
Heg.
There is a beautiful symphony playing within us all..

A very intimate recording, I know this song, but this is a fresh new interpretation, the vocal is nicely recorded. The delivery is measured and well tempered.

Very nice indeed.

I hope you are in good health too.

very beautiful song that I didn't know, with a nice piano playing, everything I like.
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I don't know the original either but I really enjoyed this treatment. Lovely combination of piano and vocal, a very sensitive and controlled performance beautifully delivered and well recorded. A lovely listen, thanks for sharing.

Wow! This works beautifully. Such a poignant reimagining. I prefer it to the original. Love the emotion you get into the vocal, and all the space you put around the notes and words. It's totally fabulous!

the slowed down tempo and only the keys in the background fit this song perfectly great take on a old classic

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

That's really beautiful. That piano goes right through you, very very powerful. Those notes just hang in the air. Really well worked and a brilliant vocal too. Forties Fest was a fantastic fest,  but it's more difficult than you think to do justice to some of these old tunes. But you certainly did here.

I'm not familiar with the original either, but I've always liked songs like this - piano with vocals. I love the atmosphere of this and you play and sing this so well. Excellent job!
