OK Greeny  ::)   I hope I don't offend you to much.  But I have been working very hard with my guitar teacher (48).  I have wanted to play lead forever and he volunteered to help me.  I want you all to know he is a great teacher and I love him dearly for taking the time to help me.  This is a little late for the blues fest but it's coming your way anyway. Please be nice as I have only had about 3 or 4 lessons, but 48 said I should post it anyway.  It is a short versian and he help me fade it out.  Look out  ;D  you guys are turning me into a blues player and a country singer. ;) I hope you like my first try at this stuff.
Love to you all

Bravo P.J. !!! This is great after just 3-4 lessons !! Smooth playing and you've even got some string-bends in there. You've had a great teacher ...... waitaminute!!!!! how?????? I mean HOW?????? Isn't there an ocean between you two? and I MEAN how? cause it's an interesting concept and if you have found a way of remote-tutoring playing an instrument it would be something we all could benefit from in this little communion of ours!!

Anyway great work PJ, your teacher must be proud!!!

So's not to hog the Limelight.....I'll start a post in General about Remote-Tutoring ;)

Greeny

Well, first of all, I think it's GREAT that this forum has led to collaborations, virtual bands, and now, cross-atlantic tutoring! What a magical thing the BR is!!!!

And secondly, I'm very honoured that you chose this track for your debut guitar performance on here!

You're well on the way with the guitar - for sure. As 48 says, you're getting all the right techniques in place to really rip up the fret board one of these fine days. Great work - and I guess we'll be hearing a lot more! We were going to have another Blues Fest at Christmas weren't we? Well I guess you'll be giving the bluesmen a run for their money by then!

And major kudos to 48 for helping out in this way  :)

If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.
