I'm very proud to present my collaboration with hardlock: I made a backtrack thinking exactly about pretenders style, quite new wave, but Ken took it and gave a completely different 60s feeling, very funny and joyful ! It was a great pleasure, and I discovered that it works just like it is, I just added an intro ad a fade out. Sorry Ken I took so loooooong !!!!!

And if you dont discover what's behind ken's words:
Finally got happy with a lead for this. All the time I was working on it, a melody haunted me from my past. After completed, my wife said "Hey that sounds like ?????".  Take a listen and "Name That Tune"!
Just ask him ;-)

It does remind me of 'The Young Ones' by Cliff and The Shadows. And I assume that's a Strat like Hank, because it nails that 60's vibe / tone: like all the Joe Meek 'Telstar' stuff.

It's a really cool, foot-tapping tune and song. Seemed to fade out too quickly though!

Great collab, fellas.

Yep, I heard The Pretenders thing as it started... and then the 60s/Hank/Joe Meek vibe.

It could be The Young Ones, Tim... but there's something else in the back of my mind... let me check my Shadows CDs, I'll be back...!!

Anyways - very cool tune and playing chaps :D

I'm back - I found the one that was in my head... Foot Tapper...

Listening here again, I'm not sure that's the one she would have meant, but something about this had Foot Tapper going in my head after it was over. And then Tim saying Young Ones and the guitar sounding Hank-like...

But I've got a feeling it's a song with a girl singing.. can't put a finger on it, though.

Who cares  ;D ;D ;D this sounds more fab the more I listen to it!!!

classic strat sound - with the right amount of delay and - well what can you say?

It's a real foot tapper. Very Hank.

Very Pretenders vibe start, I was excepting Chris Hynde's vocals :) . Well played and produced!

This is quite joyful, really uplifiting and put a great big smile on my face. Ken got the "twang" just right and does a fantastic job with melodic and tuneful playing that keeps the interest all the way through. It may be an unexpected combination but it works really well. The backer is really nice, you could definitely take that in several different directions. But this direction worked great!

I too got the "Young Ones" vibe in a couple of places, but what the heck, there's only a limited number of notes out there and sometimes we end up close to something else even if we don't intend to....

Yeah... liking the 'happy' quality to this. It's really welcome especially these days. That is the classic, to die for Strat tone... on the money. Lovely jamming along Ken... keys and drums are great too. This gets better with repeated listens. Great collab guys.

Lovely Tune this. Brilliant tone and guitar work and great backer to start with. Id only be repeating what everyone else is saying about the 60's vibe and Hank Marvin tone but it really is a great song that keeps you interested and some real fantastic guitar licks. I always find guitar lead to me more challenging with a clean tone especially if you want to keep it fresh and you have managed this with what feels like ease.

Great Collaboration guys ;)

LoL Ken, two remarkable things: 1) my younger daughter guessed the song at first trial (heck!) ANDDDDDD she liked it !!!!  (apart from the usual  comments - too many istruments, confused mix, she talk like a sound engineer lately) . Chapeau!
