Well i listened to what people said and i have reworked the drums and added some fills, turned them down a little raised the vocals and added a hint of tambourine so it wasn't so monotonous. As i've said loads of times its all a learning curve to me and VST's Virtual eq's etc but i'm slowly getting there i think and although its probably still not as comparable to some of your work out there i'm finally pleased with it   ;D

Feedback is very much welcomed :)

That's some funky blues!  I can relate to the story for sure and the wah-wah fit's it nicely!  Great work Dan!

Sounds really good Dan. Really funky track, I think those drum fills really make a difference and all the levels sound good in my headphones anyway.

You are doing a good job on the production - I kinda gave up on most of that side a while back. I think I was kidding myself I knew what I was doing for a long time. I really only pan stuff left and right, get levels right and then, only if something sounds really lost in the mix I try and eq it better to get it punching out a bit more.

Cheers

Thanks Mike i'm learning not to overdo anything in the mixing phase as its really easy to go overboard then you have to over compensate in other areas. I just want a nice clean sound to my music nothing muddy bassy or tinny. I know some people can get pro quality from a home set up but that's not my goal its just to be able to get my music out there and listenable and as i hear it in my head :) Softly Softly Catchie Monkey................

IMO this is much better Dan. A lovely punchy mix with the balance just right. The riff is now the part that hooks your attention rather than the continuous drum beat. The fills help, but it's the mix that makes the difference because the drums retreat into the background naturally when the riff comes in, and then they drive the quieter sections very effectively. Bass is also coming through much better as well.

Well done - I think you really allowed the catchy blues to shine through here with these tweaks.

Well I have listened a few times put it on my playlist thought I had commented only to see I did not my apologies.  This remix has brought this song into the light the drum fills really add to the song ( drums hardest thing I do) and the funky guitar really sets it off. The mix levels are good think you hit it out of the park with this song

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Oh YESSS!

This really grabs the attention now. The vocals stand out, and that funky guitar hook, and the wah-wah icing... very cool.

And the drums sound cool too.

There's loads of space in this, but you still make it sound big.

Nice one.
