There's a ghost in the city
and it looks like me
too much sugar in the alleyways
of my bloodstream
slouching towards bethlehem
anonomously
joan didion with a cigarette
exhale and breathe

just like a shipwreck survivor
washed ashore on the isle of lament
so adieu to the shirkers and skivers
my last will and testament

don't need a mirror now
to know what i would see

There's a ghost in the city
and it looks like me
just a wraith in the reflection
of the rainy street
so no-one sees that i take red wine
intravenously
in the glasshouse stores of Soho
by Piccadilly

just like a shipwreck survivor
washed ashore on the isle of lament
so adieu to the shirkers and skivers
my last will and testament

don't need a mirror now
to know what i would see

A real fine intro on piano and voice and I must say you're a wizard with GB instruments, besides conventional ones! I like the dark lyric that fits well to the atmosphere of your song. Amazing job again!

Another great piece of work Tim. I can only agree that you are really clever at making those Garageband instruments sound real, the piano part is awesome. I love the chord changes, your songwriting is really compelling and makes for a great listen. I really liked the guitar solo as well, great sound and really nicely played (could do with being a bit higher in the mix IMO).

The lyrics are superb as well, so many clever and insightful word pictures. Mind you, I had to Google Joan Didion....

Really like this one a lot, well done.

Farrell Jackson

Excellent lyric on this one Tim! The GB instruments sound real good....emphasis on the "real". I like the large production and the lead solo kicks azz.....Well done!

Dark dark stuff Tim, I love it. shifting between the minor and  it's relative major, great feel.

That is some song Tim... really gritty hard hitting lyrics - love them, but carried along beautifully by that great melody. This is powerful stuff, right up there with your best work.
