HOBO MARIO IS OUR LORD (Lockdown Madness with the Kids)

Lockdown got really boring so we thought we would write a story about the kids cuddly toys Hobo Mario and Wonky Kong. Wilton and Daisy are 8 and 10 and wrote the story and i was shocked at just how eerie and macabre kids can be (lol). Anyway the story developed into a song and changed a little bit and was gleefully tweaked by the kids and admittedly myself and then came the video. So here it is in its entirety. It was great fun to do but took a whole week so i dont think theres plans for another one anytime soon............... (Please note the V's from my 10 year old son were completely unscripted)

Hobo Mario Is Our Lord

I'm not your friend and nor am i your toy
I have no time for silly girls and boys
I come along strictly with a plan
To buy your trust and tell you exactly who i am

He said look in to my eyes see what i have
He gave us a controller and we were so so glad
Now Hobo is our hero hes our man
Were both going to help him
with his fiedish plan

Because hes not our friend wonky he's just an ape
So lets capture him and seal his monkey fate
He's not the real Wonky hes just a fraud
So lets kill him

Shall we spin him to his death in the washing machine
Boil him up in the kettle till he turns to steam
Shall we tie him up and throw him down the stairs
Or fatten him up to be eaten by Grizzler the Werebear

Im not fussed i think torture is great
Im never happier tha when im filled with hate
Now Hobo is your hero hesyour man
now lets get on and execute my evil plan

thanks to hobo we can now play 2 player games
but wait Hobo and the controller are both gone

I think your kids could start a cult......

This shows they have great imagination, and you did a nice job here getting them involved. I liked the way you mixed all their vocals into this. Did you use a backer, or loops or something else to create the backing track?

Thanks for your comment and great ear you have there. It is a section of music that i looped, cut, copied and pasted if you listen real carefully you can hear a couple of bits that drop tempo but i covered them with a sound effect or two

In all honesty it was great to do but it was extremely time consuming and i had to do a lot of editing in the evenings with a gin or 3 as the children had the attention of a sparrow and much of the work is quite laborious. They are pleased with it and so is mum and dad,aunties etc etc.......... Thanks for the feedback im glad you enjoyed it

FOUR Two drove me mad!!!!
