A self indulgent double fester for the blues and coronavirus festivals.  Original strummer is nearly seven minutes long so faded in and out to protect the weak of will and allow it to be uploaded here. First day off in a while and strummed two chords ad nauseam and this came out the other end. Music all recorded on my MacBook then transferred to MicroBR and vocals done there and mastered on MicroBR.

It is what it is.
A lazy afternoon
Nothing much to do
Just watch the rain run down my window
Lay down read a book
A lazy afternoon
Playing two chord blues
Not knowing if it will lead
Anywhere

A lazy afternoon
Got the lockdown blues
I search high and low
But I can't find my muse
She don't whisper in my ear
Tell me what to play or say
Don't think she's coming here
Today

A lazy afternoon
Letting time pass by
Too tired to go to sleep
Too tired to close my eyes
So I'll just lay and strum
Strum on my guitar
Just play forever
Forever

Liking that lazy melody with the Tele ..... a lot different to my afternoon which was spent glossing a mile of skirting board

I've had this looping away a while and it's almost ambient, you have a nice drone going in the background which lets the vox and guitar add the texture on top. Really enjoyed it, it's quite soothing and everything fits together nicely. Ambient blues? Is that a thing?

Having a particularly stressful work morning (how can working from home be more stressful...?), so finally having a coffee and unwinding to this beauty. The melodic work on the Telecaster is brilliant - like a dreamy solo. It all drifts along with an ambience that's perfectly in keeping with the lyric.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Totally love this song, James ~ very soothing ~~~ makes me want to be @ a lake camping with my children, lighting a blunt, and sipping Scotch and making music with my children by the shore ~~~ and... fishing poles in the water and waiting for the lil bells to ring... abrazos

Great song a really mellow vibe to it. Its was great to listen to. Something to really drift away to.

Nice!

Just brilliant James! Loving the laid back feeling. Perfect job with production, too and lead guitar additions puts a nice flavor to this. It has nice and clear tone, is the effect from MBR or from where?
