Thought I would share the first instrumental I've ever composed......a sharp departure from the usual acoustic folk/folk-rock songs I usually write.   This was a co-write with a keyboard playing friend of mine.    Song is titled "Upper Falls" after a waterfall in northern New Hampshire we used to frequent many years ago.  Hope you'll give it a listen.

Composers: Vance Grazio & Mark D. Hastings   c 2020

"Play because you love it. Don't worry about if it will ever make any money, just understand that playing is an end in itself, and you play music, it will make your life better. And, don't worry about being a star, don't worry about making money, worry about nothing, just sit down with your guitar and let it speak to you and that will make your life better. It will bring beauty into your life. It's a great thing to do."     ---- David Crosby

Very pleasant and soothing.  Love the sound effect at the end.

Really nice. Lovely arrangement and atmosphere. Very easy to get lost in.

I really enjoyed this. It's a lovely arrangement and I like the interplay of the finger-picked acoustic with the keybaords. The flute touches are really good as well. Some nice dynamics in this as well. A very enjoyable listen.

I got into music in the 70s and Genesis were my favourite band. This reminded me of some of the instrumental sections from the Trespass album, which is high praise from me!

This is a very beautiful and soothing song. I really like the David Crosby picking style on the acoustic and the water fall sounds are perfect here. Well done!

Really enjoyable listening. There is an almost hypnotic quality. It is giving me some Pat Metheney vibes... really sweet work. Would love to hear more like this!
