Oh my, oh my, oh my ... I missed hearing this one before.  This is really special.  The guitar and backing track are absolutely killer, and the whole thing is well produced.  Going back for a second listen now.  I used to have the band in a box, some introductory version, but ~10 years ago - I don't recall it sounding that good, but I recall there were "real packs" which you had to pay extra for but had real instruments playing the backing tracks - is that what you used?

...Yes , Des0free, I use BIAB (band in a Box) in the current versions;  there are what they call "realtracks" which are real instruments played by great musicians, often studio musicians from the Nashville  area and which are sampled in wave format.
At the moment I often do without their services and do everything myself, it may not be as good but what a pleasure to play all kinds of instruments!

I bumped this before and I will again... I heard this in the car today...and  first off of course it is a great song...but what is stunning to me is how great a job JP did on this recording....super clear...lots of space...
and yeah...I dig the vocals

-Guitar (picking, electric)
- Slide guitar (weissenborn, Dobro, or Lap steel)
- banjo
- mandolin
- harmonica, melodica
- Low wisthle, wisthle, Uke bass, bass, etc

Or we start from an instrumental proposal, and we add different voice tracks, instruments (that's what we did with Trevor (Thetworeg) from a Mike Huntingford track, I added a lead guitar and Trevor added some lyrics
