was messing about with the tuning on my jasmine electro acoustic. Tuned it to this tuning F# A C# F# A C#. And this little song popped up out of nowhere, Had my hiking gear on so you can hear my jacket sleeve sliding up my trouser leg every time i change chord lol. recorded  unplugged straight to my MicroBR before i forgot it. Plan to do it properly.
Anyway
It is what it is.

Everything is easy
When you know the rules
The practice that makes perfect
Or just enough to get by
And ever single day
You learn a little more
Some more than you forget
Before
Come into my arms
Lay down next to me
Look up to the clouds
And tell me what you see
And every ray of light
That fell down from the sun
Has shone on everyone
Before
Love is all we want
Love is all we got
Hey it's nice to meet you
Just to spend some time
Watch the hours pass by
Never get them back again
So try to do the right thing
Leave something that counts
We're here just for a short time
Before
Love is all we want
Love is all we got

Oh well ........

I see there's a more full blown arrangement to be enjoyed, but what i'm after now is Old Rotsy in his smoking jacket. Singing the song with his gentle voice and reflecting his sage like wisdom.

There might be one, or two thematically simpler songs from Oldie, but overall i think what he's about is meaning and deep thoughts. Although based on previous comments he's the last one to admit that. "It is what it is" :D.

Good one!

Nice tuning and so well played and song.i enjoyd it very much.
I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

Great bump! I'll check out the "new version" eventually, but this was very soothing.

I really like your voice on this song, sounds natural and real something that is hard to replicate if do a fuller version later on,  has a good indie sad and dark vibe to this which appealed.  tuning sounds good too,

:)

Love the pure deliverance in your voice, particularly when you add that softness..
