A pre-Plague offering - last August, in fact. But weird how the words seem more relevant now. Guitars, bass, vocals & Garageband synths / drums, all recorded & mixed on the MBR.

Driller killer on the loose
coming for you on the weekend news
bread and circuses instead of truth
propaganda bruises black and blue

Hi-lo, how low can you go?
when the fallout's raining in your soul
and you're avoiding everyone you know
go straight to jail and don't pass go

it's a world of skeletons and stars
for us all
always tearing down or building walls
and it feels like we're all
waiting for a dice of fate to fall

Like skeletons and stars
the two extremes
always tearing down or building dreams
and it feels like we're all
window shopping in a derelict mall

sitting at the water's edge
like king canute with a crown upon his head
but the ocean's not obeying what he says
silly boy, your knees are getting wet

Hi-lo, how low can you go?
when the fallout's raining in your soul
and you're avoiding everyone you know
go straight to jail and don't pass go

it's a world of skeletons and stars
for us all
always tearing down or building walls
and it feels like we're all
waiting for a dice of fate to fall

Like skeletons and stars
the two extremes
always tearing down or building dreams
and it feels like we're all
window shopping in a derelict mall

I love the chords, they give a lovely laid back feel to the song, very easy to listen to, I shut my eyes reclined and enjoyed.

The lyrics are great fun, dark and very humourous, like a Tarantino with slapstick violence and stylish desolation.

I love it.

Wow this is really cool, great structure, but the vocal and lyrics set it off.
Really should be heard on the radio, Utube anywhere a great listen!!

A winner, again! The drums puts a bit "dancefloor" vibe to this and one of synths has perfect prog rock tone from the Seventie's.

Bravo, Tim!

Love the chord progression and the melody.  The beat is infectious (I guess I shouldn't say that word now).
Lyric wise, it seems like you had a crystal ball last August.

Beautiful, so good that, love the melody and it really sits well with those darker lyrics a real bitter sweet contrast, giving me slight Prefab Sprout vibes.

Loving this one. Really nice groove that is based on the keys which gives it a softer feel than usual. Really catchy melodies and as always very well constructed and poignant lyrics. Very nice work as always Tim.
