dedicate this song to Tommy Knox...I didn't see that he made a version with JohnnyRobbo, in 2016 (excellent, if I had seen before I would have taken copy and paste the spoken phrase of the boss said by Tommy "no dice son, you gotta work late").

A good old RnR in this period of gloom, it feels good (and Rock on! as Hook says))

Summertime Blues is a song by Eddie Cochran in 1959, it's through him that I discovered RnR, I was 11 years old and I decided that day to have my first guitar whatever the cost !

Played with 4 takes (the fender strato to do the intro with the vibrato, and the 3 other takes with my Telecaster HB which although a copy has a nice twang sound. ;)

.... I hope we don't get  a  summertime blues.

A nice happy song to take us out of the current worrying situation - let's hope things are back to normal by summer.

A good rock n roll vibe and your Tele twangs like a Tele should.

Great fun & great performance. Love the guitar tone, and the distortion on the vocal sits very nicely. The solo is smoking hot rock and roll.

Playing out.  Years ago I was in a band called Stonewall. One tune we played that was a hit was Summertime Blues. We were doing the Blue Cheer version. A fun tune..

Lots of twaaaang here JP! I love the guitar sounds, they sound very authentic. The guitar solo in the middle is great and I really like the way you treated the vocals on this track. The spoken parts are great as well. Overall it's a really good cover and a very nice listen this morning.
