Very interesting and extremely captivating, this has a real Futuristic and other worldly vibe to it, and very impressive for "one take"

Never really dabbled too much with effects and pedals, but this is getting me thinking that I should and the range of sounds you are getting from one instrument is pretty amazing.

Looking forward to hearing where this new direction takes you next.

Really good.  Listening on headphones and it does take you away into the clouds on a journey somewhere. Very impressed with those sounds you getting.

I think it's fabulous. A big new project!

Yes, I agree. A great sound experience, many many congrats!

oh wow! I get lost in these sounds too. I felt like I was in a big cave or out of space. Beautiful and strong sounds but not too strong. In good balance. Very relaxing. (=|

Opens up an interesting and very pleasant space and I find it very easy to let go and get lost in here.  Good job of bringing in sounds that are spread out over a wide range of register and don't mask each other.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Thanks for the feedback all, the comments are helpful and I'm glad it comes over ok. I'm working on something more conventional at the moment but there will definitely be more of this style in the near future......

Very cerebral and hypnotic.  I can see this used in some kind of therapy.  Perhaps stress?

This is cool!

I actually listened to it as a piece of music before I read the thread.

I'm working at home and listening to stuff in another window. So I picked picked a topic - "Ferryman, cool! Waves - ambient etc... er, ok, I'll give it a go" ... I clicked play and went back to my remote desk top and wrote some more help on the fascinating subject of "Batch Printing"...

I wasn't on headphones, but I'm in the studio with the monitors up quite loud.

It's fabulous - and works as a piece of music.

Only afterwards did I read how it was done.

No, I can tell you it works perfectly as a listen for someone else :)

Years ago, I used to noodle with echo machines etc... actually what am I saying, I sit on the sofa doing it with my little Yamaha THR10 amp sometimes even now! I never bother capturing any of it, I just get into a zen-like state, like you say... making some sounds. Never strikes me as something anyone else would want to hear... hmm! :)

@JohnBee, this stuff is definitely used a lot in what's called "mindfulness" these days, so for treating stress and helping with relaxation. There's quite a lot of YouTubers that produce loads of this stuff and it seems to be quite a big thing these days.

@AndyR, go for it! The whole ambient genre is quite big these days, along with "post rock" instrumental stuff. There's a bunch of boutique pedal makers that produce all kinds of pedals targeted at creating weird ambient soundscapes and I find all of that quite interesting. I've found noodling for hours very relaxing, I wasn't sure if it would translate into something other people would enjoy, so the positive comments are much appreciated.
