Here we are indeed.

This started off as an intro but I couldn't work out where it was going to go, mentioned it to Tim who sent me back four lines of vocal over it.

It was getting a bit Bosko; I re-did most of it, restructured it, messed on and messed on with the drum and in the end it's a fantastic vocal and lyric by Tim and some unsatisfactory noises off by me.

Tim has the words somewhere.

It's such a nice bass line and for example at 4:01 it doesn't come through clearly enough for me. I don't think it's the volume, but at times it needs to cut through the mix and could do with a bit more top end to help it. If it were me, I'd make a copy of the bass track, cut most of the bottom end and bring up the highs, and also compress it. You could then bring this track higher in the mix when the bass needs to cut through a bit more.

Thanks for this Nigel - nice little tip. I have done just that, but it buggered everything else up as well, so - a few minutes later..

I've remixed and re-inserted the track into the original message (because I can) and I have taken a subsequent comment and inserted that into the original which looks like it was done prior to the quote that was inserted.

And who said Time Travel was not possible? (Oh yeah, that was me.)

Sounds fab, Mike :-)

Lyrics...

Here we are in wonderland
here we are through the looking glass
with everything turned upside down
with everything on fire

we never thought we'd see apocalypse unfolding
scenes from movies that we thought were science fiction
guitars and whisky keep us on the straight and narrow
and we will raise a glass or two when the summer comes

Here we are in wonderland
here we are through the looking glass
with everything turned upside down
with everything on fire

we are songcrafters crafting songs for situations
we fly jemima's kite from the handlebars of life
guitars and whisky keep us on the straight and narrow
and we will raise a glass or two when the summer comes

Here we are in wonderland
here we are through the looking glass
with everything turned upside down
with everything on fire

I don't want to die in the nuclear rain
I don't want to die of a superbug
I don't want to die of indecision
I want to go doing the thing that I love

Here we are in wonderland
here we are through the looking glass
with everything turned upside down
with everything on fire

Wow, this is really fab! And it does actually have a bit of a Bosko-ish feel to it. I love the composition here, and the songwriting is great. The change at 3:29 is brilliant and I love the way the bass underpins the song. Drums sound pretty good, and the overall arrangement works really well. The lyrics and vocals are great. Well done both of you, another great track.

One slight mixing tweak I would suggest - it's the bass! I am listening on studio monitors, and it's just getting a bit lost in the mix at times.

But that's just me and it's probably the reason I never get anything done because I waste so much time on mixing!

Lovely gents. Great tune... has a beautiful dreamy quality and I just drifted along to this. Enjoyed very much. Kinda getting a bit of Manic Street Preachers from those vocals.

Excellent guys ,I love the lyrics as well.
It bounces along rather joyfully considering it mentioned things like the apocalypse lol
The chorus kinda reminds me of an old henrench song.
Cant remember the name at the moment.
Just a very small part .
Well done guys.
