I hope everybody is having a great Memorial Day Weekend, either having fun outside or jammin' with your respective "BR". I have finally come to the conclusion that it's time to give up on drag racing as a hobby (too expensive, and too d--m hot down here in Houston...) and get back into the music scene. I played brass instruments in school, self taught bass and acoustic 6 and 12 string years ago, and wrote a few originals while in the coast guard (retired after 22 years). I recently wrote another original (only took two days to write) for a bicycle fundraiser event that I would like to record, along with the originals from years ago, so I am in the market for probably the BR600 (with the update to 1 meg, of course)
I have read many of the posts here and listened to some of your recordings in the other topic, looks like a lot of talent on here, I wish everybody the best of luck in your projects. When I get my "BR" purchased and played around with for a while, I'll most likely be inquiring with ya'll about suggestions, settings, "how-to's", etc. If anybody is on the north side of Houston, let me know, we can possibly get together and you can "tutor" me some (lol).
So, have a nice weekend and I'll be chatting with you soon!

Respectively,

Hey what's up?!  I'm in Nebraska.  Sorry about the Rockets man lol~ And I'm sorry to admit I was rooting for Kobe and the Lakers LOL!  If you want to get back into music and have a crapload of fun recording your songs, the BRs are great!! I have a BR900 and a micro BR....I love them both very much!!  Even if you're not a professional recording engineer (like me), I'm sure you'd have alot of fun trying to be one in the privacy of your own home~ On your own schedule!!  They also make great practicing tools.  I wouldn't have it any other way!!  Good luck~ Happy Memorial Day to you too!!

Hello Kody, yea, too bad about the Rockets, they gave them a good challenge, but the "Coach Kobie" will meet their match against Denver, they are going all the way this year (I hope??)
Anyway, with all the music experience I had growing up and continuing off and on since then, I should have listened to my parents and made my living in the music business. I wanted a career in drag racing, but when neither of those came to fruition, I joined the USCG and enjoyed it. I am now a locomotive mechanic with Union Pacific RR in Houston, hence the online name of "Bad-Rail", a railroader's term meaning that there's a problem ahead (any chance you are in Omaha? That's our company HQ on Dodge Street).
Thanks for the response and I'll be around!

Welcome aboard from denmark! You'll love this place :D
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

Welcome from the Northeast - Unless you have to fit one in your pocket, the 600 looks like a good unit.

Lots of Micro people around here, though. Just thought I'd warn ya ;)

See you around and have fun,

Mark
