t's a nice song by Serge Reggiani with lyrics by Jean Lou Dabadi which tells the story of a guy who goes out of his house one night to buy...matches that he only found, he said...in a street in Massachusset !!!.and so he comes back home 18 years later and begs his wife to open the door for him.
In the story, this guy is Italian which explains the few sentences in Italian language

This is very, very beautiful. It has a delicacy but a melancholy air - like the songs of Jacques Brel that I admire so much. A lovely tribute, and an even lovelier performance.
