every song these days seems to be informed by the coronavirus. All recorded in GarageBand on my macbook, using usb mic to record my jasmine acoustic and vocals, then added some bass and synths. a bit muddy and a bit long too.

it is what it is.
Early in the morning
Ain't no traffic on the streets
Just me and my dog
And the mist for company
No one to talk to
The world to ourselves
Just a man and his dog
In perfect isolation
We ain't breaking no law
Well as far as I know
I've been told to stay indoors
But I really needed to get out

Later on in the day
I head out for a walk
To get some milk
And what ever else I need
No queues to stand in
Cause the shops are all closed
Just a man and his dog
In perfect isolation
We ain't breaking no law
Well as far as I know
I've been told to stay indoors
But I really needed to get out

Just a man and his dog
Out for a walk
Just a man and his dog
Out for a walk

We ain't breaking no law
Well as far as I know
I've been told to stay indoors
But I really needed to get out

Well I must have washed my hands
About a hundred times today
And I must have walked the dog
For miles and miles
Well I never met a soul
Morning, noon nor night
Just a man and his dog
In perfect isolation
We ain't breaking no law
Well as far as I know
I've been told to stay at home
But I really needed to get out

Just a man and his dog
Out for a walk
Just a man and his dog
Out for a walk
Just A Man and His Dog

Just a story of how it feels right at this moment, I've not been out in two days but tomorrow I'll need to check on my elderly parents, they,ll need food and their drugs from the pharmacy, so lots going on in this tune just to record this moment in time, glad that usb mic work's for you,

I'm loving the atmosphere. Nice instrumentation and performance, too!

This is very lovely. Gentle, autobiographical, and beautifully melodic. Love that chord change in the bit before the instrumental.

Well written and played a sad sign of the current times. I went out yesterday and all the neighbors got fresh eggs I normally sell them in New Orleans on Tues but I am staying out till this settles down a little. Well at least all the locals will have some fresh eggs and keeps them out of the stores. Anyway well played brother bravo

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Don't get into their house. Leave everything they need behind the door.

Gentle and comforting tune. I can SO relate to this... my dog and i are inseparable. Never a day without a walk in the woods.
Not muddy at all to my ears James. The fact that it is long is appropriate...it brings home the unhurried walks and the peace that they bring. I liked this alot. Nice song.

First off Jim, that is a beautiful picture of the landscape behind you and your dog. It does seem a bit lonely and isolated here in California also with the shelter in place order. Not many people out and about which is a good thing. Just to get out of the house, I went for a drive yesterday. I saw my favorite brew pub was closed but there was a sign that said take out only between noon and 6pm. I may have to send my son down to get a growler filled. Your song and lyric have captured the mood that I'm sure a lot of people are feeling.
