Hi all, fresh off the press. The good lady and I were shopping and a song from some years ago came on the radio, well I thought seems like a good subject. Hope you enjoy.   Willie

Sitting listening to the radio
Hearing songs from years ago
Country songs and rock and roll
It took me back so long I know

To just a song we used to dance to
When we were young
Just a song we used to dance to
When we were young

Came the night and the memories
Holding hands and saying please
Would ya, could ya, should ya
Save the last dance for me
Don't you know how happy I would be

Just a song we used to dance to
When we were young
Just a song we used to dance to
When we were young

Instrumental

Just a song we used to dance to
When we were young
Just a song we used to dance to
When we were young

How the songs blew away the years
As I listened through a veil of tears
And how the night it gets so cold
Must be I'm getting old

Really nice, hooky chorus. I like the sound of the synth pad over the guitar jangle too. Great songwriting and performance.

Lovely song Willie, nice production and a wistful tone to go with the poignant lyrics. Your lyrics seem to be summing up my life right now - getting old, looking back! But that's not so bad, at least we can still make music, right?

I think we are all reminiscing at this time, this sums it up for many. Great atmosphere in the production and everything sits right in the mix. Nice one.

Beautiful tune and relatable lyric line.  I'd suggest bringing up the drums a bit and lengthen the fade out.  It's too abrupt for such a beautiful song.
