Blues Fest 2 - 'Laundromat Blues' - A Greeny original

[Greeny]

More green than blue, but hopefully better than a red sock in amongst the whites. We've had so many great bluesmen (and women) on here over the years, that I get nervous trying to play 'the blues'.

Me doing a bluesy thing with slide acoustic (probably open G tuning), Fender Tele, Jazz bass, vocals and Garageband drums.

It's a long time since I did a Songcrafters fest. 

Laundromat Blues

I watch the planets tumble
in a soap sud universe
alone here in the strip lights
a theatre for the cursed
the change machine out of order -
yeah, it's only bad news

when you're renting a room in a small town
with the laundromat blues

wine, whisky and women
have led me down here
to the house of the devil
a bar with no beer
white shirts turned pink from a red sock -
yeah, it's only bad news

there's a bottle with my name on
down at Mr Wu's
the all-night, neon liquor store
but i'll need some ice too
cause this night's too hot for sleeping -

You have the Blues dripping out of this one Tim... absolutely drenched in the stuff. That was great. I especially liked the lyrics, they were cool... and all of that guitar playing was brilliant, spot on.

Brilliant...just brilliant!!! Everything sounds so dynamic and clear. How an earth you are able to make that good recording with MBR (I presume that's been recorded on it)!! Sounds like this has been recorded on pro studio...
