Kenneth sent me this music last week, but i got distracted, i dislocated my finger. Anyway got to it today.
the view at the bend https://flic.kr/p/5GSCR1
It is what it is.
Early in the morning
As the sun comes up
Crocuses, daffodils and buttercups
Driving in the country
Down the narrow road
Living on my nerves and keeping on my toes

beautiful it's beautiful

Snow capped mountains
You can't see the join
Where the clouds begin and the mountains end
Frost on my wind shield
Sun in my eyes
It's all so beautiful

beautiful it's beautiful

The Stockiemuir Road with the music on
My foot to the floor singing along
The view at the bend takes your breath away
This my drive to work everyday

The Devil's Pulpit in Finnich Glen
Round the corner towards Killearn
Not much further we're nearly there
It's all so beautiful

beautiful

Dodging pheasants stopping for grouse
A just saw a deer as big as a house
the sun is shining down on me
it's all so beautiful

beautiful it's beautiful

Hook

This gives me a early 80's Cure vibe, when they were fun, like Head On The Door stuff. Love it guys.
Rock on!

Great vibe, lyrics and performances. And very short but sweet.

Fine work!

p.s. Sounds like Leah from Garageband on drums, lol. I know all those virtual drummers quite well.

Now this is a collab  one of the many reasons I like this site  and the talent always amazes me

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Ah, taking me back to the days of synth bands - getting an OMD vibe from this one myself. Really like the way Jim's vox blends with the keys, which as always are very cleverly arranged and produced. The lyrics are really evocative of the beautiful landscape.

Off to listen to the dadrock version now....

Hilary

I've listened to both (I can't sleep). They are both really good, a very interesting and accomplished backer by Ken matched beautifully by James' lyrics and vox.

I like this one the best as the vocal seems to sit better in the track.
