I guess I was feeling a bit folksy when I wrote this folk rock song called Million Mile Room. I asked my good friend (Bill Thompson) if he would sing the lead vocal on this and thankfully he agreed.  Credits: Bill Thompson - Lead vocal. Farrell Jackson - songwriter, backing vocals, all instruments, mix and production. I have 16 tracks on this so it was fun doing the mix.
Million Mile Room

(V1) There's a place where you can go

It's a million miles away

And it really doesn't matter how long you stay

It's a place to be yourself

Put your troubles on the shelf

You can close the door and keep the world at bay

(Chr) In your million-mile room

You can reach out and touch the moon

In your million-mile room

(V2) The blues turn to green

In a place that's so serene

You can dance about so free without a care

You can travel any where

In a blink of your mind's eye

Imagination has no boundaries in your million-mile sky

(Chr) In your million-mile room

You can reach out and touch the moon

In your million-mile room

(Solo) (Repeat chorus)

A very nice surprise, I clicked on this without paying attention and was expecting a rocker, got a really subtle and beautifully composed song. Great lyrics, great production and excellent vocal performance by your friend. I also really liked the harmony guitar in the middle. It all hangs together very well, a great listen.

Beautiful song, Farrell - really digging those jazzy chords and synth pads. And the solo is fantastic - especially when the harmonic part kicks in. Your friend Bill adds a really sweet vocal, too.

Well done!
