Wow. Quite a story. Glad your well.! Nice smooth rocker as well. Nothing against the drum track, however do you have a drumless track I could add live drums to ?

If you swim against the tide long enough, it turns and becomes momentum.........

What a story ... but don't you sell the guitar, you've got the rare 'knopfler' touch !! I agree with ORH, 70 should be the new 20 ;)

Nice to have you back, I'm glad you recovered & sorry you had to go through that. Due to the lack of retirement plan as a career musician I have to play/gig until the day I die or I end up at walmart.
This is a fine song here brother, I definitely can hear the Stills connection & I love me some Stills.
Rock on!

Thanks for all the comments – they are all very much appreciated.
Drumbum1342 asked me to send him a track without drums on so he could play along with it. He sent me the drum track and I mixed it together. It is giving more of a live feel to the overall feel. Thanks Darron for a great piece of drumming.

That's a great song JG, and the version with Darron's drumming just adds to it.  Based on this song, it seems to me that you still have the drive to produce music and oodles of talent to make that music great, although I can understand the reticence to do loads of travelling to do live performances.  The last live band I was in was about 35 years ago - I had to stop because marriage, children and mortgages made it necessary to concentrate on work that paid the most money - and sadly for me that wasn't music.

I hope you carry on writing and recording.

Sir - I salute you!  This is mastery of how to do it right.  Instrumentation is great and the vocal mix is splendid.  A terrific musical trip you have provided us here.

Keep em coming please.  I was reminded of Fleetwood Mac.... especially the drums!

BUMP for Geoff! And his version with real drums! The real drums just make a good song a little bit better. I'm glad I found this song again and the new version. All around a good song Geoff. The vocals and melody do it for me and the guitar work shines. From one "almost 70 year old" to another, do some more Geoff!
