the worst chord progression
we find it in this classic suite that we called 50's progression very used in Pop
I VIm IV V
for example Ed Sheeran in Perfect, (or Françoise Hardy in "All the Boys and Girls").

In Purple rain, Prince swapped the last two chords
so I VIm V IV, as the key is Bb, the continuation is Bb, Gm, F, Eb
and especially it enriches them what gives this very particular color Bbadd9, Gm11, Fadd9, Ebadd9

I put in PJ the chord diagrams used by Prince's guitarist  (Wendy Melvoin, at the time of the live recording of purple rain (1983), the position of F add 9 and a little less of Ebadd9 are particularly difficult

Very nice little jam you have here. Ive always loved this album, i have the vinyl and play it often. You bass is great butt at times its clipping pretty seriously. I dig brother.
