Another one for the futurefest. I had a little 32 bar groove going on in GarageBand. using garageband drums then adding various synth tracks using my akai mpkmini. I did this a few says ago messing about to see if something would come of it, then left it. Today i looped it and played guitar along till i got a wee simple riff going with it. I then plugged my macbook into the line in on my br800 and recorded said looping to a stereo track. i then added four basic guitar tracks using my HB Tele, then a simple bass line with my epiphone bass. i then scribbled down some lyrics, recorded one stereo lead vocal and two mono backing vocals and this came out the other end.
anyway it is what it is.

What does the future .............hold for you
What does tomorrow ...............have in store for you
Can you predict....................... the outcome

Is it all planned out dot to dot
Painting by numbers
Or is it all down to chance
Your lucky number

What will the future....... be for you
What does tomorrow...... even mean to you
Do you even care........... if you're gonna have one

Is it all planned out dot to dot
Painting by numbers
Or is it all down to chance
Your lucky number

Really cool. Enjoyed that. That drum pattern is great and I think that MacBook has added some very cool stuff to your armoury.

Cheers

Yes sir, new gear is the best inspiration. It does seem to have blended into your songwriting very well. Great tune here.
Rock on!

Another imaginative track, things have moved on in the last few years. Garageband drums certainly appear to give a basis to work from and this shows how it keeps in time with various little flicks here and there to give an interest.
Well done to you for a great track. You have always been a prolific writer and this shows you have progressed well.

Love it James, you're on the ball my friend. Well done. Has a bit of Jimmy Nail sound to it.

Very nice work Jim. You've created a great groove and synth background for your vocals. It all sounds very professional and I can only agree that tools like GarageBand are letting us move away from very simplistic drum backings that we used to have on the MBR and its ilk.

Glad to see the new tools are letting the creative juices flow in such an effective way.

MacBook and garageband have been great to get the creative juices running. am currently looking at getting a usb mic to record vox and acoustic on the mac, then i can use mac for everything, thinking of pulling the trigger on this https://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_sc440_usb_podcast_bundle_02.htm but also looking for recommendations.
