There's a lady in a dark room,
She hasn't got a friend
There's no best wishes
To her they're gonna send

There's an old grey dog
They kicked him out the door
He doesn't understand
They don't want him anymore

There's young man crying
He thinks he's lost his mind
Nobody's gonna help him
Cause it isn't his time

What you gonna do?
This time of year
What you gonna do?

There's a child without a home
Begging on the street
There's a woman shootin' up
If you care to see it

There's an old man dying
And he's gonna die alone
But he might have made it
If anyone had known

There's a family moving out
They're putting up a sign
They don't have a home now
Just a sign of the times

What you gonna do?
This time of year
What you gonna do?

It a sign of the times so true, I appreciate the fact you post your lyrics with your song I always read them first then listen to the music to see how you incorporate the music. Great presentation really liked this song good way to start my morning
Bravo Tim
Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Redler

I liked this right from the first note; cool sounding guitars and the drums came in quite late -that idea worked nicely!

Well written and performed!

Farrell Jackson

Excellent tone on the strummed guitar Mike! It has just the right amount of sustain/reverb/delay and over drive on it. The words are very fitting for this time of year and makes one think about those less fortunate. The build up to the drums is perfect and a good guitar solo...well done!

Hook

Damn you sound good on this brother. So very Lou Reed but all Mike. That guitar sounds sweet and some fine lead playing and some very fine lyrics.
Rock on!

Wow... I love the slow build up throughout the song, it's a great arrangement. The vocal is strong and the guitar sounds great. I love that drippy reverb.
