My wife and daughters bought me a MacBook for my 60th birthday. Often when I get a new piece of kit I try out this song. Took me a while to find my way round GarageBand in the Mac as it is a completely different beast to the version on my iPad and iPhone. I used my Korg nanoKey2 as a midi keyboard to play the various instruments. and recorded the vocals using the onboard mic. I wanted to try do everything on the Mac, to see if it was possible or not. tho I think in future I will transfer tracks to my BR800 studio for doing vocals and real instruments.

Anyway it is what it is.

What a nice present Jim! Being old does have some benefits....... ;) This all sounds pretty good. The vocals sounded much better than I expected, although they don't quite have the presence of your normal work. This will be a great tool for developing backing tracks and song sketches, the advantage being you can work with it anywhere.

I now use a combination of BR-800 and other things rather than trying to do everything on the BR-800. Hopefully this will add even more aspects to your creativity.

Nice one James a nice big step bass line would slot in nicely.
