Trying new things

I've been on a kick lately: trying lots of weird new things.  Started a few years ago.  I refretted an old guitar into a new tuning (19-EDO - 19 notes per octave).  Put together a band with a parrot as a lead singer.  I  build a drumming robot out of servos, broken drumsticks, a raspberry pi and hot glue.  I built my own analog synthesizer out of old junk, then built my own digital synthesizer out of cheap electronics.  Why?  I don't know.  Maybe my brain sprung a leak.  It's been a fun ride, though, and I think my songwriting is just a little better after all of that diversion.
