Has anyone heard a song at a live show and thought "that's so good that when I get home I'm immediately going to try to learn that song"?

I saw Jim Messina (country-rock legend who was in Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and Loggins & Messina) in a small club sitting three rows back from the front.  The band played it with full bass, drums, etc, and really nice harmony vocals.  I just did a "live in the living room" version.

I used a Fender CT-140 SE Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Audio Technica AT2010 (handheld condenser Mic), and Zoom R24 Recorder.  I mixed the two tracks in Reaper using the following Waves plugins: Q3 Eq, CLA vocals, CLA guitars, API-2500 compressor, and L1 ultramaximizer.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

This an excellent performance, recording and production for just two tracks of acoustic guitar and vocals...bravo! I've not heard the original J. Messina recording. You did great but I can imagine what it would sound like with some lovely 2 or 3 part harmonies in there. Nicely done!
