OsCKilO

We made a Purchase yesterday....

If I'm thinking this through correctly, You can record infinite tracks per session (With the right technique).....

We gave it a try yesterday!

Seems to be the case...........

No apparent loss in sound quality! :o
No need to bounce and stop the flow of what you are doing! :o
Master as you go along! :o
Infinite (I think) tracks! :o :o 8)

Record with this capability anywhere!

We are seriously impressed!!!!!

Only thing is you need to predict what levels you want in the finish....

Is it infinite tracks (Sound permitting)?
 ???

What do you think???

I don't get it ???  What would be the technique to get infinite tracks?  I'm confused lol... And you can only play back, what, 8 tracks?  Help me out brother :D I'm interested in the details of this idea ;)

P.S.  Most software DAWs have infinite recordable and playbackable tracks...I have Mackie Tracktion 3~ $99(don't know how much that is in the UK)....infinite tracks and very useable effects and other great extras!!

This sounds like the argument from "A scanner Darkly" where they are stoned out of their brains and discussing the number of gears on a particular bicycle the guy just bought.   :D

On a serious note, I have considered using my BR-1200 and microBR joined together to get a 16 track recorder, I didn't dawn on me that I may have tapped into infinite tracks.

Link the Phono out of the first one into the line in on the second one.

Fill up the first 4 tracks.

When you need to do your 5th, play the 4 recordings on the first MBR as usual and lay your riff, as your record onto track one (for mono) on the 2nd  MBR.

Fill up these tracks and Just swap them around and Delete whatever you had on the MBR you used first.

Then carry on....

And on......

And on..... (Can see what I mean I Hope)

You can master as you go allong by changing the effect on the 4th/5th track.

Just be sure to get your levels right before you deleat the first lot.

Memory should not be a problem......

I think this might be the case............ Haven't got the time to try and fill infinate tracks, But We will give it a try.......

BB.......

It feels like we just stumbled onto something great......
(This is where we find out that the Beatles already came up with it just after Norwiegien Wood).

Anyone? Little help.......
Osckilo dont do complicated...

I don't think you would get any noise added, its digital.  I have done something like this, recoded on microBR and transferred over to BR-1200 from headphones out to line in (its how I recorded the acoustic on my last song).  This is worth exploring for sure.
