If I was asked to leave one of my songs behind as a legacy, this is it. Something magical happened in the writing and recording of this, and if I never capture that magic again, at least I'll have this. This is me on guitars, vocals and synth-keys, and Flash Harry being spot-on with the bass again. And thanks to everyone on this forum, because I could never have done this a year ago without being inspired to try different things and improve my vocals and guitar playing.

:)

The only downside is that I had to shrink it to 128kbps to get it on here.

Oh man, glad I caught this early - Listening to it again right now. The mix, the changes, the synth strings - I can't tell you what I like the best It's so good. Very crankable, too! I went to 11 with this one.

Sweet job on this one - I truly envy your songmaking skills!!

Peace,

Mark

A truly magical song Tim!! This is a song where everything is better than everything else, should be published, should be played on the radio.

What a great production and Mike did a superb job with his delicate playing on this one too.

Congrats !!!! A song like this is a reason to celebrate!

Hey! How's it going with you and the Double-Cross boys?! It's about time we got some new material from you. Hope things are good with you.

Flash Harry

I typed in a whole stack of stuff commenting on this and then my shite internet connection trashed it all.
I can't be bothered to type it all in again.

It's my favourite Tim, it is a fabulous song. As good as any 'professionally' written one. You should sell it.

The Weight of Your Life

Life gives you heavy loads
That you just can't bear alone
But i've got the shoulders to shift
Your immovable rocks and stones

And when the summit of your mountain seems out of reach
I'll be the Sherpa to get you to the peak
If you believe...

My back is broad enough
To carry the weight of your life
My arms are strong enough
To carry the weight of your life

They'll try to drag you down
With their petty hates until you drown
When you're straining your sinews to smile
Don't throw in the towel – just be mine

Love is a fragile thing
A dusted butterflies wing
But i'll hold you in my arms
And protect you from without and within

And when the summit of your mountain seems out of reach
I'll be the Sherpa to get you to the peak
If you believe...

My back is broad enough
To carry the weight of your life
My arms are strong enough
To carry the weight of your life

They'll try to drag you down
With their petty hates until you drown
When you're straining your sinews to smile
Don't throw in the towel – just be mine
