This is a kind of a rally call for the oppressed, an "anti-system" type lyric, but put to a standard blues/rock chord structure.

2 guitar tracks
1 vocal track
drums done in garage band
no bass

Wake Up

Put you in a room
That's the size of a shoe
You're living in a city
and it feels like a zoo
Put you in a job
but you hardly get paid
They could put you in a brothel
But you won't be getting laid

Wake up
Wake up
Wake up

Wake up
Wake up
Wake up

Working 9 to 5
On the factory line
Talking to yourself
And that's a bad sign
The boss he's got an office
He sits up the front
Thinks you've got an attitude
He's just a stupid cunt

Wake up
Wake up
Wake up

Wake up
Wake up
Wake up

They tell you who to vote for
Tell you what you need
But they can't see past
Can't see past their greed
They say you've got a future
They take us all for fools
Taking all the money
Making up the rules

Solo

There's gonna come a time
The race is almost run
The people at the top
Their day is gonna come
It's not gonna be pretty
It's not gonna be nice
The ones that have us on our knees
Are gonna pay the price

Wake up
Wake up
Wake up

Wake up
Wake up
Wake up

I dig it Mike ! I love that strumming rhythm you're doing. Reminds me a bit of Stealers Wheel. Great words and vocal. The lead guitar has a great tone.

Cool start, getting lots of influences, first off on the rythm was getting Jake Bugg Lighting Bolt, The Beatles and Stones.
At the end I was just getting Mike S delivering a real classy blues tune enjoyed it lots!!!
