Bass players on this forum are valued because guitar players need them so much.  And vice versa, of course.  Here's a bass line for you all.  It isn't me but I just came across it and thought that you might like to hear it.

Sometimes I listen to bass arrangements played guitarists on their own songs, and I think, Well, a guitarist would do that.  There really is a different mindset when approaching a bass part, and listening to an isolated track can really make that point.
