Loved the first section.  The clean guitar against the crazy soundscape is truly unique.  Always appreciate when my ears hear something fresh.

Kudos.

So Satchwood, what's up with Chickenfoot?

Saijinn Maas

I swear I can hear some Satriani influence in there ;)

Not a bad thing at all.

Love the changes. Great job changing the "feel" without sounding like you necessarily moved into a different song.

I'll be downloading this to listen to regularly for sure! ;)

Bro

Well i feel like almost every has been said... Everything but sweet!

And that is what it truly is! Great job
If you loose track over a chord progression, play as fast as you possibly can. Nobody will know. Thats how they invented bebop.

Thank you for listening and for the comments!

Another big guitar influence of mine (besides Satriani) is Yngwie Malmsteen (he specializes in harmonic minor scales and Phrygian mode - I put more of this type of playing in my previous post of Part I of this song).

If you'd like to hear/re-hear Part 1 of the song go here (I do a little shreading in Part 1)  8)

Yes Satch it is sad to know that a lot of the posts fade into the background.  But we can always go back and listen. This continuation is great. I don't know how you get all those sounds together just awesome.

Don't worry, I listened to it several times already, just been too busy to post a response. It's brilliant, I just love the mood changes in the second half and you do a great job of ensuring the virtuosity of your playing doesn't overwhelm the composition (one of the things I don't like about many of the "superguitarists"). And you really do play so well! I particularly like your echo-ey/phase-y guitar sound, it really gives a lot of depth and atmosphere here.

Can we have a link to the whole thing please? This one has to go on the mp3 player.

Cheers,

Nigel
