1000th post! Hurrah!

Sorry for procrastinating for so long, but since I left the Boss BR and started working with the ipad, I really lost my workflow.

So...
"Cidade Fantasma", (yes "Phantom City") is a song from Portuguese 80's New Wave band, Radio Macau. It went relatively mainstream back in the days, although was not the most beaten song from RM.

It was sung by my kids some 2 or 3 years ago, when they were 4 and 5 (I think). They couldn't read, so you may hear me saying the words (not so) quietly.
I am playing electric ukulele with distortion, and a 2nd uke in the chorus with the EHX Mel9.
The attentive listener (with headphones) may identify a bass solo close to the end. Actually a U-bass from Kala. It is a nasty thing with and amazing sound, but actually quite hard to record and mix since it is all bottom line, with very few mid and high harmonics.
This was one of the reasons it took me so much time to close this (I am lying, I am a lazy procrastinator). Unless you hear with headphones, the solo simply disappears.
It was recorded with Cubasis, Ipad.

That was great Daniel and kids....you should take the band on the road! I could hear the Uke bass clearly and the distortion Uke has a very good sound. I would have never known it was Uke if you hadn't said so. Well done Daniel, Nanosilvasings, and Dasilvasingette!

Great new wave tone on your uke, distortion puts cool vibe to this! The nanosilvasings and dasilvanette (nice names   ), did nice performance!

Love the kids singing.... fantastic!! I also love the backing guitar... a little bit of a punkish attitude which strangely fits this production very well. Cool!
