Sometimes the world kicks the sh*t out of you so bad you have to crawl home, lick your wounds and cover up for a bit. Then it's time to get back at 'em again!

This is the first one I've completed from cover to cover. Cheesy drum track, fake bass, etc. I realized too late I put too much reverb on the vox, but the dry copy was gone by then (Bounced to V7). I got lots of education, though.

Anyway, I'm happy I finished something.

Peace Out,

Mark

Mark, this is really great.  Your vocals sound really good the way they are.  I like that droning rhythm.  It sounds sleepy for sure, zoned out, in the zone.  Really original sounding, fully realized, great chord changes, real nice laidback lead line (perfect tone there).  The more I listen the more I love this.  You have just surprised me big time with this.  You need to finish more songs, you are brilliant.  Cheers.

Thanks for the comments, guys!! I'd come close, but finally got to 100% complete on one. I even did the drums without DPA! Now I want a bass/octave pedal in the worst way (Or get my bass back!) - I detuned E and A, with a pick stuffed under the other strings - I learned to pluck and not pick a bass, so this was kind of tough!

The mixing/mastering were a challenge - something to look forward to on the next one!!

Later,

Mark

I love this, well done. Vox are a bit low, but I think it works with the dreamy feel. Love the way the guitars build at the end. Simple, hypnotic, compelling.
Cheers,
