So, here's a weird one. I have never heard this song in my life, but I really liked the lyrics. So, I made my own version and recorded it on my third pass. Cheers!

I really had fun making it myself, having never heard the real thing before.

Looking this up afterward, the version I covered does not seem to be the original album version. From what I can find, it appears to be maybe a live version that was from a couple years before the After the Gold Rush album was released. Anyway, would love to hear more about it if you know anything.

Birds is one of the songs on the album After The Gold Rush, but featured piano/voice.

Took me a minute to realize this was that - nice work on covering it on guitar!
