I wanted to post an acoustic blues but i guess the file was too big. I just finished a blues/rock album that was 2 years in the making and 30 years in the writing..lol. This song is  nothing fancy..straight ahead Chicago blues. It's a sad but true story  :D

There we go, excellent stuff.  There are a lot of blues lovers on here, myself included.  Sounds like Paul Butterfield blues band to my ears.  Great job.

This is really nice.  I am getting into the blues also.  I used to be pretty much country. Don't see a whole lot of that here.  Might have to throw one into the posts for fun. LOL

Thanks for the kind words and support guys. I know a straight ahead Chicago blues like this has been done a million times by a million folks. Probably my favorite part of this song is the harp, because it was played by my old pal Pinecat James, with whom i played in a blues band in the late 70's. He came up to my cabin a couple times last summer and fall and , amidst a few cold ones, layed down some fine harp on several songs. Jammin' on a blues like this with old friends is about as fun as it gets for this old dog. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and comment.

This type of straight ahead Chicago blues is done a million times, and it is simple music, and all that, but it is hard to make it sound authentic and soulful and grooving.  You have done that with your song.  Like I said, it could have come straight off the Paul Butterfield blues band first album, that is pretty darn good company in my books Pinedog.  You got the feel just right.

Fancy and blues don't go that well together anyway !!!

This is really great. Wonderful production, great playing and the singing is wonderfully laidback and fits perfect to the song.

Love it!!
