Oldrottenhead's feeling old.

If I only could see
Maybe if I just took a step back
Counted a through to z
Maybe I'd get his name right
It's a bugger to me
But I just can't think straight
And the more that I try
I keep making the same mistake
If I only could stop
Take some time to gather my senses
Maybe work out a plan
Try to shore up my defences
I just look like a fool
A man with no sense of direction
And I'm digging a hole
And it looks like it's my intention
Maybe I'm just getting old
Trying too hard to keep up with the young things
I don't do as I'm told
Still trying to act like I know what I'm doing
I never have been bold
Always looked for the easy way out of here
I'll just keep going on
No point in stopping what I've just started
And if I get it wrong
I'll do my best to try and sort it
In the eye of the storm
It's me that's calm it's me that's strong
I'm the the one that you need
To help you through till things get better
