Just me and a baritone ukulele into a single mic - well two sdc's in x-y formation for stereo and recorded on a Tascam DP008EX.

I like the simplicity of that arrangement. The balance between voice and instrument comes from mic position.

I wrote the song in late September but it still feels to fit. The pictures are photos that I've processed to look like paintings.

Love the simplicity of it all but it still gets over the intended message, great post.

Yes, it"s a good,  it's a beautiful arpege and the sound of the uke sounds very  "classical guitar"

Warm and enjoyable song and performance. Canvas effect works nicely on the vid!

Very nice work. I agree that the uke sounds more like nylon guitar than uke, I wouldn't have known unless you mentioned it. The recording is beautifully clear, it allows the sensitivity of the vocal performance to shine through.

Flash Harry

Ah yes, I have to agree, the uke sounds bigger than I suspect it is.

Lovely vocal, great mic positioning, incredible recording.

Thanks for your comments everyone.

The Baritone uke is almost a short scale tenor guitar. Scale length is typically around 20" give or take a bit and it's normally tuned DGBE like the top four strings of standard guitar tuning. Mine has a fairly large body which gives it a reasonably full sound. I love it for finger picking.
