Unknown Destination

The boy looked unsettled.... holding back the tears
He'd lost his young love... the only one
It seems to be impossible.... for him to carry on
He just wanted it all to go away

(Chr) But... He faced reality, a life with no guarantees
Staring at mortality, wondering how it came to be
This wasn't the way, it was supposed to play at all...

Down sat a lady...with a troubled look
A lost, lonely soul.... her world in decay
Caught in a nightmare.... of thrown away dreams
She just wanted it to all go away

(Chr) But... She faced reality, a life with no guarantees
Staring at mortality, wondering how it came to be
This wasn't the way, it was supposed to play at all...no,no

(instrumental)

(BRDG) At the station, they waited for their train
Deep in their own thoughts, looking for a solution
Not a word was spoken, as they hid away their pain
Headed to some unknown destination.............

Next was an old man... who'd worked all his life
Along came retirement day...then he lost his wife
He dreaded the looming thought... of watching time go by
He just wanted it all to go away

(Chr) But.... each faced reality, a life with no guarantees
Staring at mortality, wondering how it came to be
This wasn't the way, it was supposed to play at all...not at all...oooo

That was quite moving guys... that song is quite thought provoking. Great musicianship and that solo is brilliant Farrell.

Thanks Mike! I used my G&L Telecaster with humbuckers into a small Blackstar stereo amp. It gave it a nice bite. Thanks for listening and commenting!
