This song was written by Sandy Gritter, originally posted in 2009 and then covered by Oldrottenhead and Geir.  The song has always been on my short list of Songcrafter favorites.  I think I like the psychedelic landscape, however no brain cells harmed during this production.  ::)   Recently looking for a project I got permission from Sandy to cover and this is it after 40+ hours of tracking, re-tracking, starting over, etc...

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Gorgeous record Hoop!  And you're right, Gritter is a wonderful song writer.  And that pisses me off..... kidding!

I love the dreamy music and the lyric that fits it like a glove.  Great listen, I was hammering out an airy groove on my desktop.

Your cover has that less is more beauty that I need to work on.   Well done, Bro.

Wow!!!! This is an absolute gem! It's a great song but your treatment of it here is fabulous. The production is wonderfully dreamy and psychedelic, reminiscent of wonderful 60s recordings. You've done a great job with the production by keeping it open and airy, it doesn't sound at all over-compressed and "modern". I love the wide stereo image (which is very well handled), again that sounds quite 60s to me (been listening to too much early Pink Floyd recently). I love the way you spread the drums across the stereo image in the choruses.

The instrumentation is subtle and so well-balanced. And the vocals are fantastic, love the backing vox and the way you have mixed the vox.

This is heavenly all round, what a joy to listen to. Bravo, bravo!
