It was Get My Feet Wet first, but the name shrunk. A road and ocean song. In spite of being a mediocre surfer I sometimes go on surf trips on my own and this is as song about that.
Written over a long period, partly by stealing and paraphrasing. (Maybe an old version can be found here somewhere?) Recorded drums (Mikael Lenstrup) and guitar simultaneously 2018-04-08. First version of bass recorded 2018-04-10 (later discarded). Song and ipad-organ recorded 2018-04-15, guitar solo added 2018-04-18. New bass added 2018-08-10. Mixed by Mikael Sundin 2018-08-06&07

Thanks for listening,
Henrik

Getting some Bowie should not be bad in any book and it sure aint bad in mine, Thank you. In the beginning it was more Neil Younigish but I realized it has changed.
It is such a long song and had I recorded it with a whole band we would probably changed the arrangement and not have the instrumental parts before the verses the same length all the time.

The pre-song intro was one for the books. Cool tune. I dig just about any tune that creates a vibe, and this has "it." Great lead tone as well.

Thanks. I especially appreciate your comments about vibe. That is where I want to take this song even further if I get to record it with a full band live. I don't know what others hear, but for me this song is aiming for a similar feel as my Treading Lightly https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=28269.0.

Can't believe this lasted over 6 minutes - enjoyable listening, indeed! Well written and performed. Nice guitar tone, instrumental parts works well here.

Real drums are real drums - gives a warm feel on this.

Excellent job from the start to finish!
