River Town

Had reservations about posting this one since it is more of a folk song......just two acoustics and some keyboard backing the vocals, but it is one of the few songs I've written more from a personal perspective (of the mill town where I grew up). Got kind of a cool bridge in it though. So, what the hell, here it is if you care to give it a listen. As always, your feedback is much appreciated.

Silent ghosts of shoe machines and the scent of hides and glue,

For a moment, I close my eyes, and travel back in time,
To the blonde kid tossing papers from the basket of his bike,
On streets marred with uncertainty, while learning wrong from right,
Then the streetlights start to flicker, and the music starts to play,
A pulse grows to a heartbeat, you sense there is a way,
When you think you make a difference, you know you're here to stay....

Just brilliant!!!

This is music just for my taste. Very atmospheric, peaceful and relaxing. Top class performance, so well sung!

I see this song as one of the most exciting things I've heard here on SC in the last times. It's splendid because I feel it's absolutely authentic, true. And of course very well sung and recorded too.
