i currently use routenote to upload to spotify, it also uploads my songs to other outlets, itunes, deezer etc. it's free but they keep a percentage of my meagre income. they don't earn much from me but if they have thousands of uploaders all those pennies will add up for them.

 this must surely be a big hit on their business model. i personally only use routenote with the intention of getting my songs onto spotify, so this is good news for me as i have now had enough listens and followers to qualify for and now use the Spotify For Artists platform, which will allow users to upload directly.

Companies like routenote may still be needed to get a foothold onto spotify but once recognised as an artist (can i call myself that? LMAO) you won't need them.

BTW FLash we really need to get a Jemima's Kite spotify profile on the go.
