Great cover Hilary - I remember the original well and you've done a fantastic cover in your own style. 1976 was a special year for me in many ways - a sort of "coming of age" year but without the rude bits ! Been looking back at the charts for that year (to pick something to cover) and the music scene was getting a bit stale in some ways. For me it wasn't the best year for music and I'm not surprised that punk emerged around that time. Nevertheless, that song brings back memories of that time and it was great to hear your take on it. Thanks !

Thanks for all your comments - I really tried to take the listener on a journey, wanted to start all sweet and end up all bitter and stalkerish. I think the lyrics are quite dark.

I'd still like to redo it though!
