I think you are right Geir, your way would be the best and give the best sound, it just takes a bit more coordination I suppose.  I was trying to think of the easiest way, but yours is for sure the best way.

Yes, I think geir's idea is best. Everyone records in the appropriate place but just sends the mp3 of their guitar track only to the final guy. As I said, I'm happy to be the final guy but if you get 8 folks before June 1st, don't hang around for me!

JOKE: Question: how many BR boys does it take to play a solo?
         Answer: 1 and 74 to mix and master it  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Seriously I apologise if my brief instructions caused confusion... :-[ :o
Am I right in thinking we will record the backer (with the solos so far) on one track panned hard right and our solo panned hard left.........and post here.....
we will then send Nigel an MP3 of our solo guitar ..
Hope this is right ???
Is everybody OK with that?........

BTW just one spot left! 8)

I really had fun jamming to this backer last night!

Hadn't played in Gm for a while so that was cool....great finger work-out too!

I thought I'd get the ball rolling......... ;D
I have done the first 2x12 bars..I have used a fairly simple rock and roll lead which hopefully will give you a good start
I have recorded the guitar and backer panned fully left and right
I also have a wav and mp3 of my guitar part if we need it.......
hope that's right ???

Ferryman_1957

Sounds great! Nice heads down rocking.

Keep the wav and mp3 - I'd prefer wavs at the end then I can mix the whole thing high quality.

I'm away on a business trip next week, back at the weekend so hopefully there will be 7 guitar parts waiting for me :-)

Cheers,

Nigel
