Alex,
It's a pleasure to hear you  again.
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Nice to hear another song from you, Alex.

Where I was: I was about to set off on my 2 hour commute to work when I got a call from my Dad (who passed away in 2010), telling me to tune into CNN. I couldn't watch for very long as I had to leave for work, and when I left there was still very little information available, except that a plane had crashed into one of the Twin Towers. I tuned into NPR on my car radio, and listened as the rest of the events of that day played out. When I arrived at my office, everyone had already gone home. I got back in my car and listened to the coverage on NPR as I drove back home.

So I experienced most of the day's events mostly by radio. Hadn't thought about this aspect of it in years.

absolutely terrifying day I think we all remember the images seen live at television in those apocalytic hours

I was in work in an office in London where i lived at that time. I think we first started hearing about it looking at internet news sites. Then someone turned on a TV set we had in the office and we watched it unfold. I have never been certain but I believe we watched the second plane hit the second tower as it happened. Just seemed surreal and for a while it felt like it was the start of a war... which I guess it kinda was.

Lovely song Alex, very moving, great to hear you.

Great. So moving.

I remember I spent all the afternoon, evening and night at the TV.
