Well, the Oasis fest has finally got my mojo going again and my first song posting of 2018. Put this together over the last 2 evenings - one of their early tracks - Supersonic.

Cracking cover Pete. Loads of attitude in both the guitars and vocals. Love the layers of guitars... is that 2 guitar tracks or 3? sounds great.

Thanks Mike....I recorded the rhythm guitar twice, one panned right and one left. There's also two tracks with have different parts of the lead guitar throughout the song. So 4 guitars in total plus the bass. I bought a Zoom G5n multi-efects unit recently so all the guitars went through patches I'd set up on there rather than using the BR600's effects which I've always used in the past. I was trying to see if I could get the backing as close to the original so the Bonehead and Noel Gallagher guitars went through models of Marshall heads and cabinets and the Guigsy bass parts through a Hiwatt. The Zoom's really a guitar multi-effect but I think the bass worked well through it - a bit more punch to it than through the Boss bass patches on the BR600.

The first Oasis song I heard in the 90's...was it on 120 Minutes on MTV...

To me this is one of all time favs from Oasis and you have performed it so well. I think the tempo is a bit faster than on the original(?), but anyway it works. Good tone on guitar and well sung! Enjoyable listening!

Thanks Kari ! You're right - the original was slower but if you watch live recordings they used to play it faster !
