It's been ages since I've done anything! I've really missed it all - just so many damned things to do! I have got to play the guitar for a singer in a school concert. I was given this tune and had to work out the chords from the piano score, so I thought I'd try and record it. I used the bass guitar for the piano's left hand and classical guitar for the rest of it. I hope you like it - maybe a bit too tame for some of you rockers!
If the human brain was simple enough for us to understand, we'd be so simple, we couldn't...

Awesome classical guitar work!  If I ever buy a classical guitar, I'll be asking you for lessons!

PS. I wonder what this would sound like satched up....hmmm...

Any rocker would know that this is where it all started!! Acoustic guitar used to be just "Guitar" at some point.

Like the playing a lot!

I'm amazed that Purcell has made it here, I would have expected JSB to have beaten him.

Either way, excellent stuff.

This is great! I love classical guitar, and it sounds very nice recorded.

Very neat how you used the bass as the left piano hand, I'd never have thought to do that.

Excellent post.

Beautiful. All I ever did on classical was pick out "Pictures of Matchstick Men" then junk it for an electric. Nice to hear something from you again, with some very skilled playing.

BTW, did you ever hear from the composer of that great "western" piece you did a while back? IIRC you were going to send him your version.

Cheers,

Nigel
