I totally get your sentiments, as I'm the same way! But then deep down you hope someone gets something from your work and digs it!
Love it Ian , this rocks. I dig. Melodic, but full of punk attitude. Your vocals are great.
All in all 👍👍

Punk can be performed without drums, too! What a good example here... fine and catchy melodies both on verse and chorus. This has a bit Billy Bragg vibe, imo. You should add festival icon to this.

There are drums.

I think its just a bad mix. I did it very quickly and did not pay enough attention to the end product.

Thanks for pointing it out. I'll have another go.  :)

I read your comment via cell phone yesterday, and thought I'm deaf (perhaps I'm a bit). There are drums right at the intro and on whole song. I had the first listen on crappy speakers, but now with mp3 player the drums can be heard better. Anyway, I like your tune a lot - sounds even better after several listenings.

Hi Folks,

I just popped in a new mix.

I made the drums a bit louder and used a bit of EQ to try to carve out a space for each of the instruments. Its a funny recording because it is very bassy, except for the rather shrill (at times) lead guitar.

I tried to perform it as if I don't care - ie punk ethos - and most of the passes, including the vocals,  were first or second takes.

I love you all :-)

Ian

It's very interesting to hear folks have a go at punk. You are never quite sure how it's going to pan out. This works really well Ian. It sounds like you were really into it and it really does feel like you are letting off steam. Sounds really raw, heart felt and very good indeed!

Cool punk song! I love the "up front" sound, and get a bit of a Velvet Underground vibe from the rhythm guitar (always a good thing).

Well done!
